Love TipsPublished 5/23/2005

There’s power in the words you choose when you speak to your mate. Words like "I’ll try to" or "Maybe I can" dilute your impact and communicate lack of commitment. Words like "I will" and "Yes" said clearly, along with other definite statements, inspire confidence in you and enhance the impact of what you say. Make a mental note to pay attention to the words you choose. Do they convey fear, helplessness, and ambivalence or love, power, conviction, and a willing, helpful spirit? Which picture do you want to paint with the words you speak? There’s no reason to be afraid of being powerful when love fills your heart.
