The Colorado Disaster Medical Assistance Team (DMAT) is an asset of the National Medical Response System (NDMS) for the United States Public Health Service. The mission is to provide essential emergency medical care and evacuation during times of natural or man-made disasters, augmenting and providing aid to local jurisdictions. We are committed to serving the citizens of Colorado and the United States as an emergency medical response team. The state of Colorado also has a specialty team, one of three in the nation within the NDMS system, the National Medical Response Team (NMRT). This team provides medical care and decontamination services during incidents involving weapons of mass destruction. For more information on the teams or how to join, please contact our Administrative Officer, Lana Currance RN @ (303) 909-0172 or view our webpage at www.dmat-co2.org.
