The American Organization of Nurse Executives (AONE) Institute for Patient Care Research & Education will present its 2003 Nurse Director Scholarship to Kathy Boyle, BSN, MS, senior director, patient services at the University of Colorado Hospital in Denver.
The nurse director scholarships are awarded to those pursuing an advance course of study in nursing administration. This year’s award is sponsored by B. Braun Medical, Inc. Boyle will receive her award during AONE’s 2003 Annual Meeting and Exposition March 29 - April 2 in New Orleans.
Boyle is pursuing a PhD in Nursing Administration. She is in the process of defining her dissertation work and is interested in focusing on work environments, systems and processes that influence communication, especially nurse-physician relations that impact nurse and patient satisfaction.
