Denver Health wins Downtown 42nd Annual Partnership AwardPublished 3/17/2003

Denver Health received a prestigious award from The Downtown Denver Partnership Wednesday evening, March 12, at the 42nd Annual Downtown Denver Annual Awards dinner at the Adam’s Mark Hotel.

The dinner is held every year to pay tribute to Denver businesses that have made significant contributions toward creating a unique, vibrant and diverse downtown environment.

Denver Health was nominated by Piper Jaffry, Inc., and was recognized as an award winner for having evolved into a "leading, nationally recognized organization providing a diversity of services beyond its stellar hospital care."

As the honor was bestowed on Denver Health, Anne Warhover, President and CEO of the Downtown Denver Partnership, read the inscription on the award, "For 142 years, Denver Health has been committed to the health of the community both in Downtown Denver and the Rocky Mountain Region, while continuously setting the trend in efficiency, technology and superior patient care that is recognized throughout the nation."

Five other Denver businesses also received awards.

Denver Health, formerly known as Denver General Hospital, integrates acute hospital and emergency care with public and community health and includes the Rocky Mountain Regional Trauma Center, Denver’s 911 emergency medical response system, Denver Health Paramedic Division, 10 family health centers, 13 school-based health clinics, the Rocky Mountain Poison and Drug Center, NurseLine, Correctional Care, Denver CARES, Denver Public Health, Denver Health Foundation and the Rocky Mountain Center for Medical Response to Terrorism, Mass Casualties and Epidemics.
