Platte Valley Medical Center Foundation to Receive 50 Percent Match for Every Endowment Fund Donation through September Community First Foundation Issues Challenge GrantPublished 5/25/2010

The Platte Valley Medical Center (PVMC) Foundation is pleased to announce its partnership with the Community First Foundation in an effort to raise $300,000 for the hospital’s Endowment Fund. If $200,000 is raised by September, the Community First Foundation will present the PVMC Foundation with an additional $100,000 through its Challenge Grant program (or 50 cents on every dollar) for every contribution to the Endowment Fund. This means that for every $100 donation to the Endowment Fund, the Community First Foundation will give $50!

"We are approaching 50 percent of our goal," explains Foundation Executive Director Marcie Demchuk, "and are seeking the community’s help to reach this goal to maximize our gift from the Community First Foundation."

The Endowment Fund serves the many needs of the hospital, not only now, but for generations to come. The principle of the fund is invested permanently and the interest and earnings are available on an annual basis to meet the current and future needs the hospital. It is difficult to determine what the needs of the hospital and community will be in 10, 20 or 50 years, but is certain that dedicated resources to meet those needs will be part of the Endowment Fund strategy.

We invite you help us meet this challenge and be a part of the future of healthcare. To learn more, visit or call the Foundation office directly at 303-498-3630.
