Flight for Life Colorado plans annual bike rallyPublished 7/18/2007

The Third Annual Denver to Dillon Ride for LIfe motorcycle rally will take place July 28, 2007 to support Flight for Life Colorado.

The proceeds from this year’s motorcycle ride, sponsored by St. Anthony Summit Medical Center and the Town of Dillon, will help supply much needed equipment and advanced education for Flight For Life crews.

From Lakewood to Dillon, riders will enjoy an organized, police-escorted ride traveling over the Continental Divide, along Swan Mountain Road, and into Frisco, home of the St. Anthony Summit Medical Center and Flight For Life’s Lifeguard 2 helicopter.

The final destination is the Town of Dillon where the celebration begins. Activities include a poker ride/walk, fabulous prizes, a free concert featuring Firefall, and much, much more!

Rally registration is available online when you visit, and enter the code ride4life07.

You can call the St. Anthony Health Foundation at (303) 629-4446 for more information.

Flight For Life Colorado, a non-profit community asset, began in 1972 as the first civilian hospital-based air ambulance program in the United States.

Since its inception, Flight For Life has responded to over 84,000 critical care and trauma patients, currently averaging 12 transports each day in its four orange helicopters, three Critical Care Ground Transport Units, and fixed-wing aircraft.

As a mission-based program of St. Anthony Hospitals, Flight For Life Colorado is dedicated to helping any patient in need, regardless of their ability to pay or proof of insurance. Flight For Life serves a nine-state region on a daily basis, transporting patients from the newly born to the very elderly.
