My kids inspired me to pursue my education." Kimberly Schafer, Freshman "My grandmother, mother, and mother-in-law were all LPNs and a great inspiration on my life." Geana Jones, Freshman, "In 1996, my mother was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis and I grew up caring for her and my little sister. Then, on June 12, 2004, she passed away and changed my life forever. She touched my life in so many ways and made me want to touch others." Autumn Palmer, Freshman "My youngest son was in the NICU for the first 12 days of his life. The nurses that took care of him and explained things to me so I could understand was the moment I decided I want to provide the same care for other people." Stacy Goodin, Freshman

Arkansas requires 15 contact hours every two years prior to renewal (20 if license expires) and Texas requires 20 contact hours prior to renewal.
