A Calming Effect: RMPDC nurse enjoys everyday challenges

On any given day, Foley, RN and certified poison information specialist at the Rocky Mountain Poison and Drug Center (RMPDC), may field calls about a child eating a houseplant or an adult who brushed their teeth with hydrocortisone. Foley takes on average four calls an hour, or roughly 40 calls per day, talking to people of all cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds to assess their poison or drug emergency.
