Plans turned into reality for new terrain park at Craig Hospital

Mike Utley speaks at the recent ribbon cutting ceremony for the Mike Utley Terrain Park at Craig Hospital in Englewood. Utley, a former Detriot Lion in the NFL, was injured in 1991 and treated at Craig.

The Tri for the Cure was held on Sunday, August 3, 2008 at Cherry Creek State Park. ri for the Cure is a unique event, which is designed to attract women of all athletic abilities, from elite to first-time tri-athletes. The sprint distance course included a 750-meter (1/2 mile) swim, 18.3K (11.4 mile) bike ride and 5K (3.1 mile) run. More than 3,000 women and 100 breast cancer survivors raced to support Susan G. Komen for the Cure, raising more than $150,000 in pledges.
