National Hospice Month 2004

November is annually celebrated as National Hospice Month, a time to raise awareness of hospice and stress the importance of quality care at the end of life. This is a time to honor and recognize the work of hospice and palliative care professionals, volunteers, and supporters across the country.

Over 4.2 million influenza vaccine doses were shipped this week to health providers serving high-priority groups as part of the plan announced on October 12 by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and Aventis Pasteur.
